1. Commercial Manufacturer Warranty Coverage
All commercial appliances wholesaled by RESTAURANT EQUIPMENT ONLINE LIMITED carry comprehensive manufacturer parts and labour warranties backed by authorized New Zealand service agent networks:
- Heavy Commercial Refrigeration: 24 Months Parts & Labour warranty on compressor units, fan motors, and electronic controllers.
- Thermal Cooking Suites & Combi Steamers: 12 to 24 Months on-site commercial warranty covering elements, valves, burners, and touch panels.
- Pass-Through Dishwashers: 12 Months Parts & Labour with dedicated regional breakdown coverage.
- Stainless Steel Fabrication: Lifetime structural warranty against weld failure and metallurgical delamination under normal operating conditions.
2. Mandatory Installation & Commissioning Verification
To maintain valid commercial warranty protection under New Zealand legislation, all equipment must be installed and commissioned by appropriately licensed tradespeople:
- Electrical Appliances: Must be connected by a Registered Electrician in accordance with AS/NZS 3000. Electrical Certificate of Compliance (CoC) or Electrical Safety Certificate (ESC) must be retained.
- Gas Appliances: Must be connected by a Licensed Gasfitter adhering to NZS 5261 / AS/NZS 5601. A Gas Safety Certificate (GSC) is legally required.
- Water-Connected Appliances: Must be installed with backflow prevention in compliance with AS/NZS 3500 and local council trade waste regulations.
3. Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) Process
Commercial equipment returns for unopened, non-commissioned units are evaluated on a case-by-case basis under the following standard wholesale conditions:
- RMA Application: Written request must be submitted within 14 calendar days of delivery.
- Pristine Condition: The unit must remain in its original, unopened export crate, unbolted from its transport pallet, and free from any installation marks.
- Restocking & Testing Fee: Approved non-defective returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee to cover incoming technical inspection, electrical safety re-testing, and re-warehousing.
- Custom Indent Orders: Bespoke fabricated stainless units and non-standard voltage machinery are non-returnable.
